Having stayed at Auchrannie before I decided to book last minute at a b&b for a change of scene and so glad we did. We are planning a new trip pretty soon. The place is really dated but i think thats what adds to the experience as we normally stay in really modern hotels and this was just so quaint. The hosts were really helpful and we both really enjoyed the breakfast with an amazing view. Looking forward to a return visit with out family and dog!

This is what a good B & B should be. Helen (the owner) made booking so easy. She gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. We had a most enjoyable evening meal – good home cooking. Our room overlooking Brodick Bay was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice of cereals, fruit etc. Helen is the most welcoming host who seems to want nothing more than for her guests to enjoy their stay and she certainly succeeds. She could teach more expensive establishments a thing or two!!
Stayed with friends during climbing weekend. Owner Helen was tremendous. Great breakfasts. Room and guest house spotlessly clean. Only two minutes’ drive from ferry terminal and near to shops, restaurants etc.
I just recently stayed here and found everything to be just fine. I was in the single room #5 with en suite. The room was a single however it had a nice size double bed and plenty of space. It was very quiet a night. Tea and coffee in room was provided and nice biscuits refreshed every day. Helen was very nice and breakfast good!
We stayed here on the first and last of nine nights on Arran. Great location so handy for the ferry and lovely views of the sea and Goatfell. A lovely warm welcome from a happy owner. Both rooms we had were nice, clean and well stocked tea tray and toiletries. Wifi was fine and breakfast great. We would happily stay here again.
Stayed here beginning of August for 4 nights. Friend and myself had two single rooms (although lovely double beds). Home from home, Helen the owner extremely welcoming and friendly, breakfasts were superb and she was so attentive to your needs, nothing was a bother. Rooms spacious and comfy, excellent en-suite and clean towels every day. Will definitely be back next year.
Ferry cancellation from Islay meant connections jiggered and an unscheduled stop on Arran. It might have been a panic buy, but by golly it was a happy accident… our hostess was so helpful, friendly and, forgive the pun, accommodating and flexible. So kind and at such short notice. The views over Brodick Bay (another time I shall stay longer…) is gorgeous, rooms are, I am guessing, fairly newly refurbed, and very comfortable. We didn’t get chance to experience the full Scottish breakfast but judging by what we had, very early – lovely fruit salad, yogurt, fruit coffee – and it was entirely our choice not to have a cooked full because for us, us it was just too early! – it would be great. Everything prepared with care.
I’ve stayed here a few times through work, and always look forward to it. On previous visits, I’ve mentioned that I would prefer a mug, rather than the wee cups you get in your room. Booked in today & was handed a mug. Great service & the breakfast is superb.
This charming guest house is centrally situated along the sea front of Brodick, so it is ideally situated for anyone on the Arran coastal walk. The challenge of Goat Fell can easily be seen from the front windows, while all the facilities of Brodick are all close by. The welcome was warm and the breakfast was excellent.
Very comfortable place in a convenient location with a view on Brodick Bay. We spent two nights there. Breakfast was included in price and had a nice selection of choice. I was a bit worried regarding to the vegetarian option as in description was full Scottish breakfast but there was no problem at all. Nice stay overall.
